Hey friends! It’s Bre from Brepurposed here today. So excited to be a part of The Holiday Collective and bring you some holiday inspiration to get you in the spirit. We all love easy crafts right? And things that are mini? If you answered yes to both of those questions you’re going to love today’s project. I mean, who wouldn’t want a DIY Mini Christmas Tree in a Box? They’re the perfect little desk accessory, or you could use them around the house to add a little pop of Christmas. Or even give them as gifts.
Mini Cardboard Boxes
You can use any color box you want, but I wanted white. Of course I had the hardest time finding little white boxes, so I ended up spray painting mine.
Now can we talk about this amazing ribbon I scored at the Target Dollar Spot?! I have absolutely no idea why I didn’t grab every spool in sight. Definitely going back for more.
Cut a piece that will wrap around the whole top of your box.
Next up use some super glue (or hot glue), whatever you have on hand, to attach the ribbon.
Now fill your box about ¾ of the way with the wet foam.
Stick your little faux christmas tree branch into the foam and then top it off with your paper shred.
Told ya it was easy. How cute are these little guys?! I think I need to make about 20 more.
Hi! I’m Bre, the girl behind the blog Brepurposed; a place where I share my adventures of stalking craigslist, thrift stores, and friend’s basements to find those hidden furniture gems and give them new life. Along with transforming the old into the new, I share DIY crafts and free printables, hoping to inspire others to follow their love of design.
