SWEET! You’re back. You know a good thing when you see it, don’t you? And The Holiday Collective is a really good thing. Tomorrow will be the first day of official DIY content but today, you’re getting a first hand look at the contributors who make The Holiday Collective tick.

I happen to think that this group of superheroes will rock your socks. You be the judge. Let’s get started:

What is your favorite holiday dessert?

I’m rather partial to anything that generally falls into dessert category and most times my favorite dessert is that last dessert I ate. So yeah – my dessert palette is not what you’d call discriminating. If I had to pick, I’d go with pie. Pie and sugar cookies. Pie and sugar cookies and pumpkin cheesecake. Final answer. I think.

What is your favorite holiday color combination?

Hot pink and lime green with a little bit of teal, purple and red mixed in. I’m really into subtle, understated colors. Also, gold. I love gold. Again, subtle shades.

Favorite holiday project?

That time Martha asked me to deck my halls. That was pretty cool. Oh…and I love this one too. It’s just so doggone easy!

What is your favorite holiday dessert?

Ha. Try to find a dessert I didn’t like! My mouth is a pie whole, literally :) Growing up in France we always had the traditional “christmas log” cake every year – a cake in the shape of a log, usually filled with fruit mousse or flavored buttercream and I am looking forward to that every year! Also, not technically dessert but I do love me some spiked eggnog during the holidays 😉

What is your favorite holiday color combination?

Right now I am obsessed with deep blue + gold + coral combination, but when decorating my home I usually stay pretty traditional. Lots of white, green and red with wooden tones + gold. Makes our house feel like home every holiday season!

Favorite holiday project?

The girls made these cute peppermint sugar scrubs bottles as teacher’s gifts a couple years ago, and they were a hit – still a favorite and we make the sugar scrub every year now!
